Ajja is a breakfast cereal which may be served at lunch or dinner too. It is specially advisable for new mothers.
Stuff:
medium mixing bowl
2 medium pans
strainer
Elements of Cereal butter:
2 cups crushed wheat, barley or oats
4 cups water
14 oz. butter (spiced)
to taste salt
2 cups milk
3-4 Tbsp. Sugar
How to cook Cereal butter – Ajja
Soak cereal for about 12 hours in chilly water. Rub with your hands, to remove lumps and strain into a pan. Cover and permit stand until the water separates leaving the cereal at the bottom. Drain off the water watchfully. In another pan, boil milk and butter over a low heat and put in cereal to it, rousing relentlessly to evade lumps. Add sugar and/or salt as desired and cook till the cereal butter thickens and serve pungent. Ajja is superior eaten bright. This executes six small servings.
