Broad beans flour/Ilbet – a Recipe from the Wonderful Ethiopia

Broad beans flour/Ilbet Ilbet is a delicious dish eaten with injera or bread.

Utensils:
2 medium cooking pans
medium mixing bowl
deep serving bowl
mortar and pestle
strainer

Component:
1 cup widespread bens
1 cup sun flower seeds
2 Tbsp. oil
1 tsp. garlic
1 tsp. ginger
5 cups water
to taste salt

How to create Broad beans flour/Ilbet
Boil sun flower seeds in 3 cups of water for 5-10 minutes. Discard water and pound sunflower seeds. In a mixing bowl contribute the pounded sun flower seeds and 2 cups of water and rub via hand. When mixture is slightly thick strain. Keep sun flower water in a bowl and throw out the seed. In a medium cooking pan boil 1 cup of extensive beans with the sun flower seeds water in low heat for 5 minutes adding 2 Tbsp. oil and fuel well. Put mixture in a deep serving bowl and add garlic, ginger, salt and mix well until smooth. Store in refrigerator covered. Serve cold. Serves 6-12.
