Ye’assa Alich’a is a milder version of Ye’assa We’t without red pepper. This replaces beef curry when fasting.

3 medium fish fillets
2 cups red onions (chopped)
1 cup oil
1 ½ cups water
¼ tsp. black pepper
½ cup white wine or t’ej
to taste salt
¼ tsp. Turmeric
How to make Ye’assa Alich’a Curried fish stew
Cut fish fillets in small pieces and grill lightly without grease and ordered aside. In a separate pan, cook red onions until lightly brown. Add wine or t’ej a little at a time and put in turmeric. Add oil and cook sauce for 15 minutes making definite it does not burn by means of using adding water a little at a time. When sauce is contribute the grilled fish, black pepper and salt to taste. Simmer for 5-10 minutes on low heat and serve pungent. 4-6 servings, refrigerate to store.
