Ingredients:
1 Ib. barley flour
3 cups butter
1 tsp. cardamom
to taste salt
¼ tsp. black pepper
¼ tsp. cloves
½ tsp. red pepper (berbere)
How to create Spiced barley meal
Melt the butter and add everything of the spices. Make a paste by way of the mixing the barley flour with the melted butter. Put mixture in a deep container and allow to cool. Cut into small pieces previousserving. Store in a cool place. Makes 6-8 servings.
